Spring Fling! Tackle, Tulips, and Solar Tours is hosted by the Iron Range Partnership for Sustainability. It will be an opportunity to learn, connect, and explore aspects of water, soil, and sun after the long pandemic year.

About the event

Ring in spring with us on Saturday, May 22nd at the Klein/Cuppoletti Building on Silver Lake in Virginia!

*Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will have a lead tackle exchange. Bring in any amount of lead tackle and you will be given sample packs of non-lead alternatives - while supplies last!

* North St Louis Soil and Water Conservation District will have a representative to discuss aquatic invasive species and information about the We Are Water exhibit at the Discovery Center.

*Natural Harvest will have co-op information and grocery item samples to enjoy.

*Wolf Track Energy will have a representative to field solar related questions and talk about their business.

*This event will launch the Here Comes the Sun: Iron Range Summer Solar Tours. June is the Ely area, July Hibbing/Chisholm area and August Grand Rapids area.

*There will be an interactive table about loons to 'dive' into detail about this amazing state bird of Minnesota.

*The Iron Range Partnership for Sustainability will be there to highlight our programs, such as the Growing Together project where you can rent a garden plot, and to build our Sustaining Partnerships. Stop by our booth to receive a free gift of tulip bulbs!
